Our Family at CabanaLanz
LUCAS
Our Lucas is a kind of ‘Red-Masked Goose.’ He came into our lives by chance two years ago. We were at our farm as usual one day when, suddenly, we saw a white animal moving in the distance. We immediately knew it needed our help. We headed toward the spot, and there he was—very scared, unsure of where to go, and hungry. We didn’t know where he had come from; we only knew we had to help him. When we found him, he was just a few months old. Although he was quite wary for the first two months, little by little, with food, affection, and respect, we earned his trust. He has found his home, and together with our beloved chickens, they form a team as peculiar as it is beautiful.

Misifusi
Our little cat, Misifusi, arrived with her siblings to teach us that with love, trust, and respect, anything can be achieved. We found them, along with their mom, when they were less than a month old. They were very scared and distrustful of everyone. We never imagined, when this journey began, the level of trust they would come to place in people again. She is the most trusting of her siblings—affectionate and a being who radiates love and hope. With her tender gaze, she can captivate anyone who meets her. She loves to eat and receive affection, though sometimes, when meeting someone new, she prefers to keep her distance at first.

Charlie
Here we have the lovely Charlie, on the left, the male of our beloved feline family, accompanied by his sweet sister, Misifusi, on the right. Charlie, though quite timid, loves to be present at all times. He’s very observant and enjoys staying in the background. While his progress in trusting us has been tremendous, he still doesn’t like socializing too much with other people. That said, he’s attentive to every movement and thing you do, and he’ll accept any treat you offer him from a distance. He loves playing with his sister, getting into mischief with tree trunks, hammocks… and lying down near us to rest. We respect his space, and he thanks us for it by giving us his trust and gracing us with his presence day after day.
