CabanaLanz: A Dream Come True
At CabanaLanz, it all began in 2019, although our vision of a better world has been with us since childhood. We have always believed in the possibility of creating a space where nature, animals, and people could coexist in harmony and respect.
For years, we explored different ways to bring this dream to life. We wanted a project that reflected our values and fostered a connection with the environment, but no idea felt quite right. Then, one day, sitting by the sea, we had a revelation: if we could create a place where nature was the foundation, where animals had a safe home, and where people could disconnect and reconnect with their essence, our dream could become a reality.
A Sustainable Oasis in Lanzarote
Thus, CabanaLanz was born—a unique corner of Lanzarote where we protect the environment and promote sustainable living. We made use of the resources we already had, like the trees we planted as children, and continued to expand this green sanctuary. Every corner has been designed to respect the existing flora while encouraging the growth of new species.
Today, we have more than 50 trees, including species many thought impossible to grow on the island, such as Canarian pines. Despite the scarcity of rain in Lanzarote, we installed an automatic irrigation system that allows them to grow strong and healthy, just as they would on neighboring islands like Tenerife, Gran Canaria, or La Palma.
In addition, in our green oasis, you’ll find:
Two large Canarian palm trees over 15 years old.
More than 15 species of fruit trees, including banana trees, olive trees, guava trees, lemon trees, pear trees, apple trees, mandarin trees, walnut trees, and almond trees.
A Refuge for Animals
At CabanaLanz, animals are part of our family. We created a space where those who haven’t found their place in the world can live in peace, surrounded by love and respect. In our “Our Family” section, you can learn about the story of each one of them and their journey to this home.
Commitment to the Future
Our purpose doesn’t stop here. Every month, we plant new trees and continue nurturing this natural oasis to ensure its sustainable growth. We aim to inspire more people to contribute their small part, showing that a greener world is possible if we all do our share.
